A Yorkshire Terrier named Spike, who is 10 years old, gave his life to save the life of his cherished human at the end of May.

Despite the danger that cruelly cost the steadfast dog his life only thirty twinkles later, Spike did not waver when a poisonous snake came in the brace’s theater in South Africa.

When the snake entered Louise Grobler’s property, he was speaking on the phone.

The canine enthusiast was so engrossed in her conversation that she failed to notice the reptile slowly edging closer to her. Fortunately, Spike leaped in, smelt the snake, and killed it without even hesitating.

Sadly, there was little that could be done to save the dog, who tragically was penetrated by one of the cobra’s lethal teeth in the process. Louise described the tragic occurrence.

Shaft was my hero since he attacked the poisonous snake and saved my life. I suppose the snake could have stunk me as well if Spike hadn’t jumped over and grabbed it by the neck.

When I saw what was happening, I rushed next door to get my neighbor for assistance, but by the time I returned, Spike had already dispatched the cobra.

The family suffered another tragedy soon after Spike’s passing. Their second family dog, Prinses, too perished after being sucked by a snake.

The tiny dog had allegedly been abandoned by her previous family months before she was wedded. Louise clarifies

We didn’t want to let her go since we loved her too much; she was only scheduled to live with us for two weeks.

She ultimately gave birth to four puppies, but we donated them to a dog shelter.

The day after they passed away, my family and I buried the pets in separate graves that were close to one another in our front yard. Mariska (her son) wept so hard as we buried them that I wept alongside her.

Shaft and Prinses’ devoted family will never forget them, and Louise will always be inspired by the brave act the tenacious little dog performed.
