Giving a pet dog to a child is one of the best things a parent can do. Dogs are loving and loyal pets that will go above and beyond for their owners. This was proven by Haus, a German shepherd owned by the DeLuca family, who protected his daughter from a snake attack. The family had rescued Haus when he was two years old and he quickly repaid their kindness. One day, while playing in their Florida backyard, Haus and Molly, aged seven, encountered a dangerous snake. Haus instantly recognized the danger and didn’t hesitate to act, even if it meant putting himself in harm’s way.
On Facebook, Molly’s mother Donya shared that their dog Haus bravely protected her daughter from a snake attack. Despite getting bitten three times, Haus did not back down and stood his ground. Thankfully, Molly is safe, but understandably upset about the incident.
Haus pulled off an incredible feat of bravery to rescue the young girl from danger. While they were playing outside, they came across a rattlesnake which tried to sink its fangs into Molly, highlighting just how lethal these serpents can be.
Haus sprang into action without delay to shield Molly from the snake’s lethal bite. Despite being bitten thrice by the serpent, the courageous dog managed to keep the young girl unscathed.
At first, the young girl’s grandmother had concerns that the dog who was just saved may pose a threat to the child. However, after some time, she came to realize that the brave dog had actually rescued the child from danger. To avoid any further harm, Haus required prompt medical attention to stop the poison from spreading throughout his body. Therefore, Molly’s grandmother took him to the Connechusett Animal Hospital for immediate treatment.
The poor pup was in desperate need of help, with drool pouring from his mouth and his body going limp. Despite the uncertainty of the dog’s survival, Haus didn’t give up trying to save him.
