Wonderful save of these two sweet dogs.
Happy for them and their new owners.
Perhaps no one will ever forget the despair in these two dogs’ eyes as they accepted their fate and trembled to comfort each other, fortunately, a miracle happened.
Kala and Keira are two close friends at the shelter who have long treated each other as family, but the two had been staying in a kill-shelter and their time was running out. Their good times are coming to an end.
The Etowah County Humane Society staff couldn’t bear the thought of two lovely and healthy dogs being euthanized because they couldn’t find a family. They took a picture and made one last plea for the puppies’ lives on the social media site.

And that is the image we see, two dogs holding each other in despair!
Fortunately, this photo saved the lives of two shelter dogs before the deadline.
It seems that no one with humanity could ignore this, as it only took 2 hours from the time their story was published until they escaped death. A man saw the photo on the rescue team’s “Fb page” and decided to foster the shelter dogs until he found a permanent home. He immediately called the rescue and said he was on his way to pick up the two dogs.
Then, in October, they finally found their happy home, and even better, they will remain together; no one wants to separate this adorable couple!
Pam Cody and Wendy Newman are close roommates who had pets but they unfortunately passed away. They decided to continue providing a home and love to abandoned pets. So, they decided to adopt Kala and Kiera after learning that they still hadn’t found their forever family.
Sometimes a photograph or act of kindness is enough to save a life. Always believe in miracles!
Love the way the dog hugs how they were in that situation… Thank you for rescuing them and pleased they ended up in a home together!
God bless the man that came to the rescue and the girls that adopted them. They are both beautiful and the unconditional love in return is a reward on its own.
