Apparently, the pair of dogs were taken in at the temple after being abandoned on the streets of the city of Ho Chi Mih, Vietnam, and given a new chance at life.

Reacting to people, several of the comments that poured out about the fallen friends were posted on the social networking site Weibo.

“Since the dogs are now in the temple, they should sit and meditate like the nuns,” said the priest.

Others scolded the puppies’ previous owners for abandoning them.

‘I’m not sure how people can be so rude. I shouldn’t have gotten the dogs in the first place if I couldn’t take care of them!’
