Utilizing social networks can occasionally provide a way out of these seemingly hopeless, stagnant situations. A sweet little dog named Speck had spent the previous year and a half in an abandoned animal shelter in the state of Alabama (USA) waiting for a loving person to take him home and provide him with all the love he needed.
The dog would stand up in the middle of the bars of his cage whenever someone passed by, sticking out his tiny paw to say hello. Everybody came to a stop to “shake his paw” and give him two embraces.
Desiray Miracle-Wilder, director of the Bullock County Humane Society, observed that it was almost impossible to pass by and not say hello to this adorable and kind-hearted canine. Desiray chose to take a picture of this unique situation with his phone one day, possibly when he was feeling particularly creative.
Even though Speck had to endure hardship in his life before finding refuge in the shelter, the wounds on his muzzle did not change his meek and friendly demeanor. Instead, the small dog remained incredibly trusting of people, and his sole concern was to win someone over.
Due to this heartwarming video, Speck’s shelter was connected to the future family via Allie’s Hope For Paws Dog Rescue. Undoubtedly, Speck’s adoption requests poured in as soon as the film was released. Finally, Mike’s family, two other canine friends, and the little dog can play happily together on a farm!
