It’s the ‘summer of George’ Constanza for our favorite ‘Cap Cop,’ Officer Gretchen Byrne from Boca Raton, Florida.
In early June, Byrne took in a comical kitten which she named after George, the neurotic friend to Jerry in the comedy classic Seinfeld.
When you see the little furball, it’s hilarious because his markings look like Constanza’s receding hairline. And when you see the kitten’s disheveled look and slightly fretful expression, it’s clear Byrne nailed the name choice. Don’t you think so?
Now safe in Byne’s foster care, George Constanza will have no worries. But recently, a kind person saved him from a dangerous and tragic situation in the rain.
“Meet George Costanza. George had a rough day. Mama was hit by a car, and he wandered into the street and onto a median. Let’s not forget the 🌧 we got today,” she posted.
With help from some kind student volunteers, George got a flea bath in Dawn dish soap. Then, they spent an hour removing the fleas one by one.
Once he was all cleaned up, George Constanza was “a new man,” and very lucky to join the Bad Kitten Academy (BKA), also known as “Heaven’s Waiting Room,” receiving foster care in Byrne’s home.
The Summer of George Constanza
In an update, we see George Constanza has made quite the impression, as Byrne has called this the “summer of George.” This kitten is all over the place, one moment dozing off and the next minute escaping from his playpen and scurrying away at high speed.
*WARNING: VULGAR LANGUAGE*
“All day every day during the summer of George.”
George Constanza Can’t Help Being Comical
Next, we see George Constanza furiously trying to run up the side of what appears to be the bathtub, paired with the perfect 80s classic for musical accompaniment. (Byrne’s skills at picking funny captions and music are always on point!)
Whatever he does, this kitten can’t help but be comical like his namesake. Tune in on Instagram to see what the Summer of George brings us next.
“Legend says he’s still running.”
Chudo ‘Miracle’ and Pua Update
Recently, we shared the story of another kitten our favorite Cat Cop found all alone under a bush. Later, Byne named the tiny orange kitten Chudo, or ‘miracle’ in Ukrainian.
When we last saw her in April, Chudo was a growing kitten bonding with her friend Pua, who was found at a gas station. Recently, Byne shared the news that Chudo and Pua were adopted together.
After a flight to the Northeast, the girls arrived at their forever home in Connecticut with two local rescued cats. Now, Chudo has received the name Cricket, and Pua is Byrdie. You can follow them on Instagram to see their adventures.
“Chudo and Pua have made it home all the way to Connecticut. Love love that these two got to stay together. Huge thank you to their new parents for choosing a double adoption! The wonderful people of @swattrescue and our flight angel Judy made this possible ❤️❤️. Make sure you follow these two @cricketandthecrew!”
